New visuals to differenciate enemies from our shoots

The game feels pretty good. I really like movement, camera shake and sounds.
However, there is a problem with visuals, as I can't distinct ammo from enemies, they have very similar shapes and doesn't contrast enough to a background. And quake pick up is grey and hard to notice.
Additionally, I suggest adding a little more delay between a player getting damage and restart enemies spawn about a second.

I've updated the palette of enemies and projectiles to be easier to differenciate:

  • Now there is only the red ball as enemy, the yellow and pink balls have been removed.
  • The triangle enemy it's now orange.
  • The green plasma ball it's now blue and it's glow effect has been increased.

With this changes, it's easier to differenciate between enemies and our own shoots, I hope this helps to play the game better!

Also I have updated the time that player is invincible when taking damage to one second. This way should not happen to lose two or three lives in a row.

There are still some sprites, like the quad that are hard to see. As there are a lot of temporary sprites, this will change in the future when the definitive sprite it's made. This is why I have still not changed the sprite of the quad but wanted to update the enemy palette for a better overall gameplay.
